Create a $225 Spring Centerpiece for $37

Inspired by expensive faux floral centerpieces, I created my own orchid garden for $37.
I started with this tureen I found at GoodWill. Only $7 because the lid was missing.
I bought faux orchid stems on sale at Michael's. I chose three since I wanted an odd number and my pot was too small to hold 5 stems.
I could not find orchid leaves so I chose faux greens from Michael's with a similar shape and color. You could also use the leaves from a faux orchid that has lost it's blooms. You can pick these up at yard sales and thrift stores.
To cover my base, I bought 1 bag of sheet moss (also at Michael's).
This was my base. one pack of floral foam. From...you guessed it, Michael's
I put the foam into the pot and cut the pieces to get a tight fit. I did a dry-fit first and then removed them and used my hot glue gun to glue the foam to the inside of the pot and to each other.
It's ok that there are gaps around the sides. This foam will support the stems but it all gets covered in a blanket of moss.
I have the smallest hot glue gun but it's enough to handle the job.
These are the stems my greenery was attached to. I pulled them off individually.
The leaves look like this.
I placed the orchid stems in a loose triangle and hot-glued them into the foam.
Ta-da!
I took the greenery stems that I had taken the leaves off of and I cut off the bit that fits in the leaves to create a spike.
They are only this long.
I put a spike on each leaf so I had a way to push them into the foam.
