Cheapest DIY Curtain Rods Ever {Finials Too}

I have to admit that I am a wee bit of a hoarder when it comes to home decor supplies.
Here's an example: Even though we have no double windows in our entire home I still haven't gotten rid of all six sets of double window curtain rods from our last house.
Turns out hoarding can be a good thing. Because I've upcycled those useless curtain rods into the Cheapest DIY Curtain Rods Ever {Finials too}!
Because the DIY curtain rods sit so close to the wall there isn't much room for traditional finials.

Hop over the the blog to get the complete DIY finials tutorial plus a supply list!
The total cost of DIY Curtain Rods and Finials for all three windows in our home office cost less than $15. That's $5 per window!
The complete tutorial and supply list can be found on the blog post! Plus there's several other DIY Curtain Rod tutorials you will love!

    How do you prevent the curtain rod coming off the hook, if you open the curtains?

    Also a great way to store tons of ribbon too! Just use doweling to fit the spools.

    You are a genius! I will be doing this in my dining room and living room curtains. I did your bay window rods for my Mom, she loves them.
