I have to admit that I am a wee bit of a hoarder when it comes to home decor supplies.
Here's an example: Even though we have no double windows in our entire home I still haven't gotten rid of all six sets of double window curtain rods from our last house.

Because the DIY curtain rods sit so close to the wall there isn't much room for traditional finials.
The total cost of DIY Curtain Rods and Finials for all three windows in our home office cost less than $15. That's $5 per window!

Also a great way to store tons of ribbon too! Just use doweling to fit the spools.
