Light Up Easter Egg Wreath

I love making light up wreaths, especially during Christmas. But, then what do you do with the battery operated lights? I make new wreaths every year, so I use the lights again and again throughout the year for different wreaths. I think it's totally fun to have a light up wreath for any time of year!
I use a plain floral styrofoam wreath. This one is 12 inches. Plus, you can use yarn that looks like fur. It's called Fun Furr. It makes the perfect looking grass!
These eggs you can find at Joann's every year or you can use plastic eggs as well. I've found them there the last 2 years. And, you need a couple feet of tulle.
Next, I take the lights off one of my wreaths and change out the batteries from Christmas in the battery operated lights so they're fresh and will last the season.
It will take almost 2 skeins of the yarn. I wrap the lights up in the yarn as I wrap the wreath, so it hides all the cords. I just make sure to keep the actual bulbs out of the yarn. I just keep wrapping until the light cords are hidden, so I end up going over more than once with the yarn.
Leave about 6 inches or so of the lights cord that goes to the battery pack out of the yarn, so you can fasten it to the wreath easy. Once I have the wreath completely wrapped in yarn, I insert a zip tie (or two) at the bottom back of the wreath under the yarn.
This is where I attach the battery pack. I wrap the few inches of slack from the lights cord around the battery pack and then put it in the zip tie.
Then it's just a matter of hot gluing the eggs around the wreath.
I finish it off with baby pink tulle to hang on the door,
Here is the finished wreath on my door.

Love the wreath, but I want to know about the color of your front door! What is the name of the color and the brand? It's a wonderful color.

Using glue gun...can you remove the eggs from a wreath to use the wreath in another design? Not familiar enough to know if hot gluing the eggs would ruin the wreath when trying to remove them.

How many yards were in each skein for your 12in. Wreath. I want to make a 18 inch wreath, thanks.
