Organizing a Tiny Bathroom Closet

I have a teeny tiny bathroom closet that is 18 inches wide by 6 inches deep making it very challenging to create a useful space. I felt lucky to have a closet in my bathroom at all considering my house is just short of 1200 square feet. Anyways let's jump in and find out how I made it functional and pretty!
I started by removing everything of course, and did a huge purge on things that were old or I just wasn't using. I brought in some narrow trays for perfume, clear cracker jars for razors and various sundries. I brought in the ubiquitous Mason jar for my myriad of makeup brushes and a nice banana leaf basket for my flat iron and blow dryer. I brought things in that I already had so it saved a lot of money...win, win right?!
I wanted the tiny closet to be a cheery space that would help me start my day off right, so I added some gorgeous handmade gift wrap to the walls. The gift wrap is much thicker than typical gift wrap so it works well as a wallpaper. Instead of pasting the paper to the walls, I used a domed thumbtack that when pushed in, is hardly noticeable especially in a small closet.
See that old stencil job? Not so cheery aye? I've got to work on my stenciling skills, before I show anymore of them off! The wallpaper covers my lack of stencil skills quite well, and because I used thumbtacks to "apply" it, I'll be able to quickly rip it down should I get the itch to change it! The little closet functions really well now, it's pretty and because I purged so much, it has continued to work well! This organizing project was so incredibly simple and affordable!
