DIY Rustic Pallet Cooler & Bottle Cap Artwork

Every year, my son's school has an auction and each grade level has to contribute a project for the fundraiser. Crates and Pallet had sent me several boxes of their ready-to-go pallet wood so I decided to use it to build an rustic outdoor cooler.
The best part about this pallet wood is no disassembly required and it's available through Home Depot.
Since the project was meant to be a class project, I needed to come up with a way the kids could contribute. One night when I was looking for a bottle opener, inspiration struck. Painted bottle caps as artwork on the front of the cooler.

The kids did an incredible job and their art resembles a vintage quilt, doesn't it?!

This rustic cooler looks so great on my patio, I am definitely going to have a hard time parting with it. My fingers are crossed that our rustic pallet cooler raises a lot of funds for the school.
