Engraving Candle Holders - St. Patrick's Day

Engraving candle holders was easy and I'm excited for the endless possibilities!

I have had these candle holders for a few years now. I bought them on clearance after Christmas. I usually get them out around St. Patrick's Day, and this year I decided I wanted to try to engrave them.
Materials Needed: *Safety Goggles *Engraving Tool - I used the Dremel Engraver *Candle Holders *optional - Patterns to to guide you
For my first guide, I used a shamrock window cling.
I put the cling on the inside of the candle holder.
This is how it looked from the outside. I put my goggles on, turned on my dremel, and started engraving the outside of the candle holder. I traced the outside shape of the shamrock. Once I was done with that I decided to fill the shamrock in by simply "coloring" with the dremel engraver.
This is what it looked like when I was done.
For my second candle holder I printed this shamrock on regular paper.
I cut the picture down to size and taped it inside the candle holder. I put my goggles on, turned on my dremel, and started engraving the outside of the candle holder. I traced the outside shape of the shamrock.
This is what the second one looked like when I was done with it.
Here are both candle holders completed. I am very pleased with the way they turned out.
