Irrigation controller ANSWER

Hi everyone. I decided to ask Hunter if their irrigation controller quit in 2011. I had to smile when I read the answer. Mine is still working after 15 years & it is a great piece of equipment. These days I'm impressed with anything that lasts past the warranty.
HUNTER ANSWER & how to solve the probem:
The SRC controller, a residential controller that was ahead of its time when manufacturing first began in 1994 has proven to be more durable than anybody could have expected. Recently Hunter has received word that some original SRC controllers are still alive and well. However the internal dating processor is only capable of keeping time up until the year 2011. To combat this Hunter has composed a chart that allows for use of the SRC past the 2011 setting.
You can however set the year to 2006 until March 1st to get the controller to sync up accordingly. Because this year is a leap year though you will have to change the year to 2001 on the 1st.
All new Hunter controllers will work until 2032

Miriam, I get so much help on hometalk so I am very pleased if this helps anyone with an OLD hunter system. I'm keeping mine until it breaks. I also have 2 rental homes with Hunter systems that are about 8 years old that have no problems. I think Hunter is great. NO, I do not work for them.
