      Hi Lisa I was really inspired by this vanity &am trying the same technique however when i use denatured alcohol it also rubs of paint on the surrounding surfaces incase it touches. How does one avoid that ? thanx

    Did you use chalk paint and then a wax?

    Wish there were more directions as to achieving this look. It looks like more was done other than painting and then sanding down to the wood. It's so beautiful...good job!
