Since St. Patrick's day and Easter are so close together this year I decided to start sharing St. Patrick's Day crafts and DIY's early. I'm starting with a super cute door wreath made from Items that I found for a dollar each.
You can adjust the size and shape to fit your door.
Materials:

Foam wreath 7.9" x 1.5" (I cut mine in half lengthwise to have a second wreath base to use for Easter.)

1 package of 12 foam shamrocks 6 glitter and 6 plain.

Glue gun

Wrapping Ribbon and tooth picks.
Decide on your shamrock design and hot glue the foam shamrocks in place.

I decided to use my solid green as a base and the glitter shamrocks as the top layer. You can also alternate shamrocks for a stripe or spiral design.
Cut your ribbon to the lengths you like and curl the ribbon. Wrap and glue the center of the ribbon to the top of the tooth pick. When you curl the ribbon start curling from the center out to each end. This makes it easier to glue the ribbon in place and helps the ribbon curls to fall in a more attractive way.
Press the toothpicks into the foam ring and weave the ribbon through the shamrock leaves. Add a strip of ribbon or a hook to the back and hang up.

Use a yellow or gold ribbon to represent gold or add small plastic gold coins to add a little detail or depth. You can personalize the wreath in lots of ways such as adding leprechaun hats or shoes, pots of gold, or rainbows. Your imagination is your only limitation.
