Pantry doors are a great place to write your grocery list and help you set up meal planning for the week. Here is how to make a chalkboard pantry door. I also added the vinyl words for the reach side of the pantry. This was updated as of 2020.

adhere the chalkboard paper

First, measure the area and cut to size. Measure twice cut once. I usually measure and cut the width first. Then do the length. It's easier that way.

Smooth out the bubbles from the adhered chalkboard paper

Smooth out the bubbles as you go. I used the side of the credit card.

The chalk holder basket attached on the Pantry door

Add a shallow bin. I used this one from 3M Command. It can be removed easily and shouldn't damage the door.

remove the unused areas of the words on the Cricut machine

I added some additional steps to this post. I used basic lettering (arial style) to cut out the words, "Grocery List" and "Daily Specials". I also cut out the days of the week.

Press the transfer paper on to the vinyl

I then pressed the transfer paper onto the vinyl and smoothed it out for maximum transfer of lettering. I was sure to line up the grid with the letters so it will be straight when I adhere it to the chalkboard paper.

Adhere it to the chalkboard paper on the door already

I then added the transfer paper and the lettering to the door.

I did this a while back and love it. I did my kitchen cupboards and also my bathroom. So when guests come over they can find things easily. Great job.
