Transplant lilac cuttings
I recently had to remove several branches from my white lilac and could not bring myself to toss them. I put them in a bucket half filled with water. How do I get them safely into the ground? I live in zone 4. Thank you!

Leslie, you want to dip the shoots in a rooting hormone and put them in moist mixture of perlite or vermiculite and coir (or peat). The shoots should not be too long and should have leaves on them.
