the cold water behind my washer is leaking around the metal part that goes into the wall and leaks on to the floor?

You have a metal box that both the hot and cold are attached to but it is the cold that is moving up and down and leaking down into the wall as I use the washer on to the floor.. I keep the cold water shut off when I'm not using it but I need to fix it..I can take a picture if you helpers need for me toooo!!!! Thanks

Can you post a photo? I had a question a couple of weeks ago about a leaky faucet behind a washer, and some other Hometalkers really helped, but I don't know if it's the same type of faucet.

  • Yes Shirley, a photo would be a great help. It sounds as though a hose washer or packing nut is loose. But the photo will confirm what you need to do.
