I found a large lot of wedding decoration/cake toppers-brides, bridesmaids, groom's, swans, and cherubs. I am a wedding officiant but I can't think of a creative way to repurpose these. Help!

I know what you have isn't exactly a loot of plastic toys, but maybe this post will provide some inspiration: http://www.kidspot.com.au/things-to-do/galleries/craft-ideas/12-clever-projects-to-make-with-little-plastic-toys?image=4

I am sort of clueless, but the swans if they are large enough could become containers for small tillandsias as take home favors . could place at each place setting.

Well you could make cake plate dome decoration with them. Make cake plate/domes out of cup, saucers, or just about anything, then use glasses for domes. Thing like a small setting. Use E6000 or the other glue to hold covers in place. I've even done things inside of bread loaves. Yep pull out large pieces of bread( loaves that aren't sliced) air dry or in the oven. Then make a scene inside that. Snow ones work great so to Easter. So why not wedding. Use the silicon glue inside for snow or color and make grass can use artifical stuff too.Think scenes.....

Glue to a wreath; tie them to favor bags; glue to a small clear glass plate for a ring dish; if the swans are large enough, put a battery-operated tealight in them for the tables. Glue to signs to designate bride's room/groom's room, bride/groom table, etc. Glue swan to a base, insert a piece of floral foam, make or buy a wire picture holder, use for table numbers. Decorate a Christmas tree for December weddings. Get goofy and make a chess set.

Merri jo I was thinking along the same lines. Homemade snow globes from small jars, glitter and the items would be loads of fun. They could be personalized as well if Susan wants to give them as gifts to the couples she marries.

@Trixie63 Great minds think alike! I think it would be a hoot to set it up as a chess set at the reception.

Does anyone remember cakes made to look like a dress? They had a plastic doll in the middle and the skirt was the color to match the bodice of the dolls dress. It's skirt was ornately decorated. I think the girls "dolls" could be used for, something like that. I had a cake like that when I turned maybe 6. I remember the cake just not the age. But I loved it.
