worms are nature small roto tillers...they keep the soil some compacting and provide organic nutriets. many people vermi-compost for these benefits.

Could you harvest then and sell them to anglers? I was so happy to finally find earthworms in my sandy soil that it's hard to imagine having so many that it would be a nuisance. See this link for some steps to take before you apply the Seven:

why on earth would you want to kill them...earthworms are beneficial in the garden and lawns....
make sure its not lawn beetle or ants that are playing havoc....they are more likely to cause damage than an earthworm...
I know for sure it's not ants and if it was lawn beetles the "seven" would have killed them
earth worms? I can't imagine them causing a problem. Could it possibly be grub worms?
