Make a Coffee Table Out of an Old Window to Store Your Treasures

You all know how much I love a good re-purposing project. This coffee table made from an old window may be my absolute favorite.
I know I know, I say that every time but this project seriously contains all of my passions:
I broke this project down in step. I'm sharing the basics here but the entire project is on my blog. Start with the window because your coffee table dimensions with be from the measurements of the window.
After you have the dimensions you will need to basically build a box. Because the inside is for display I used 3/4 " PureBond plywood for my bottom so I could stain it and have that rich look. I used 1"x6" trim boards for the sides.
Using a table saw or circular saw, cut the bottom of your table and then cut the sides to assemble around the outside of your bottom piece to form a box.
For legs I used old stair spindles. I cut them to size and attached them to the bottom of the box.
It was now ready to start the pretty part. Using a stain pad I stained the stain-grade plywood and trim boards and let dry. I then used my chalk mix paint to paint the window and outside.
Finally I Used furniture door hinges to attach the window to the box. This allows it to be opened so you can change the treasures you put inside.
Enjoyed the project?
