Yarn and Burlap Heart Wreath

Hearts aren't just for Valentine's Day in my house full of girls. If you ask any one of them, they will tell you that hearts are their favorite shape. When I saw heart wreath forms on sale at JoAnn's, I picked up a few because I knew they would come in handy! I made this yarn and burlap heart wreath with some scraps I had laying around and now my three older girls are all asking for one of their own.
I used a heart wreath form, white and pink yarn, and a burlap ribbon that I had dyed. I also used jewelry wire and scissors.
I started by wrapping the white yarn around the wreath form.
I then folded the burlap ribbon accordion style and pushed the wire through it.
I twisted the end of the wire around the wreath form and gently pulled the burlap ribbon around the outside.
I took my pink yarn and wrapped it around each place where the burlap touched the wreath, creating a bit of a ruffled look.
This was a fun way to use up scrap pieces that I had held onto and I can imagine easy variations. For further details, please check out my blog post!
