What is this stuff on my plant. I'm pretty up on some diseases here in Florida but this one is a mystery. OK Doug I'm RELYING ON YOUR ADVICE FOR THIS ONE LOL, aND HOW DO i GET RID OF IT ?

    Spray with an insecticide for scale. You could wash the leaves with insecticidal soap or oil.

    This might not be "bugs" but more of a case of a fungal infection like powder mildew. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Powdery_mildew the above link is from wiki which also has some management plans.

    definitely mealybugs, which is related to scale. we had a bad infestation in a greenhouse where i worked. the advisor at the local extension office recommended cleaning with rubbing alcohol and q-tips and following up with insecticidal soap periodically.

    I agree that it looks like mealybugs. @Nancy Martin Becker 's strategy for control is spot-on.

    I have used the rubbing alcohol method. You might have to do more than one application but it works great.
