Striped Burlap Table Runner With Pom Trim

I wanted a neutral, farm-house style table runner to decorate my table for Spring and Easter. My table is wood and so I wanted to inject some contrast into the runner by painting white stripes and adding a pom trim to the ends.
Start with a burlap runner. Measure and tape where you want to put your stripes.
Paint with a sponge brush, dabbing the paint on. Be sure to put newspaper underneath to prevent paint from bleeding through onto table.
Peel the tape off as soon as you finish painting. Allow it to dry. Then use hot glue to attach pom trim to each end.
