Reclaimed oak flooring

We are replacing the oak hardwood floors in my nephew's new house. Some short length, some longer. Any ideas on how to repurpose them? Got to get them quickly or they will be put in dumpster. Help.

I think that is going to depend on how much flooring is there. If there is a lot there is a post on home talk that someone made a head board.

I saw a post with a dining table made of the used oak flooring. I think they used a painted existing base with legs and made the table top out of the oak. Sorry I don't know the site. But you could advertise it for sale or free...many crafty people out there that would love to have some of it.

I can't imagine why you would replace real oak hardwood floors! Don't throw the planks away--at the very least put them up for sale.

My favorite wood is oak, can you tell?
