Painted Concrete Floor

$70
Medium
I ripped out an old wheelchair ramp and made our mudroom a welcoming place to enter. I used two different colors of paint to make a diamond pattern on the floor. More details (including how I prepped the concrete) are on my blog.
Also - this is my first post on Hometalk - so if I am doing it wrong...sorry! :)
This is the first time we saw the house, and the after with the painted floor. We have since replaced the door.

Hello! I'm pretty new to Hometalk so hope you get this. :-) I also have no experience painting much of anything! Is there a skill level that someone should have before painting the concrete floor in my porch? Did you have a template to lay down and outline and where did you get it? The porch has an ugly and dirty PINK carpet. I've been using the porch as a catchall and I'd really like to make it pretty and not the eyesore that it is now. I'm going thru cancer treatment so this may be a great project to distract me. How physically difficult would this be though? I've got so many side effects from chemo (like neuropothy in my feet as well as balance issues) that I wonder if I should try to find someone and pay them to do it for me. Also, your livingroom floors that you painted (over plywood) are there any instructions about doing that as well? My livingroom and dining room are one big room with horrid green carpeting....so that is in need too. Where did you find the pattern (template?) for that big livingroom/dining floor pattern? I adore it! Sorry for so many questions but I'm anxious to get a lot done while I can. :-) Thanks, Faith

I already have concrete floors painted in a square tiled pattern . I would like to change this so what would be the process? Can I just paint over what's already there? Thank you for any advice!
