Do you mean Roman Blinds? If so, these are very easy to make. Your local library will have a book(s) on how to make them, as will Pinterest. Just type in "How to Make Roman Blinds". Best wishes.

I ordered mine on-line. They were not terribly expensive. I hung them myself to save some money and did fine with it. The first one I bought from a drapery store and it nearly broke the bank it was so expensive but then I checked on line and walah there they were at third of the cost of the original one and looked the same. Good luck. I loved mine.

Do you really need the blind or would hanging a café type curtain help your situation. I had a neighbor who did this once and it was a perfect solution, it was also a time before all this goodies we have available today. Just a thought.

I don't like curtains- they get dusty and they're not contemporary looking mostly.

@Lianda Ludwig Not a big curtain person as well. Moved in to a rental home with 11 windows. Bought white sheers (floor length) for all, even the kitchen. Of course, I did purchase white blinds for each window. Makes a nice soft contemporary look.

You did not say if your window had space inside. My glass is level with the wall. But if you have room, a Home talk guest showed Roman Shades with spring tension rods, The fabric would be you choice, or use the mini blind set up with alterations. Cut the stings that are used to raise and lower the blinds,(not the ladders, they make the blinds open and close) Attach the spring rods to the blinds that are measured for the window. lower the top rod to open or raise the bottom rod.
