There are three tank covers are in a row. And, the system has to be checked every six months, which means easy access is a must.

Put up a vinyl privacy fence that is portable and light weight to move when the system needs to be checked. Big dos stores carry them in the building Dept.

We covered ours with astroturf...easy access and it looks ok when the rest of the grass is green...ours is right out front by the driveway - impossible to miss!

The fencing only makes it more obvious you are hiding 'the ugly'. Camouflage paint in landscape colors and put plantings in the line of vision, leaving access from the backside you don't have to look at and forget about it.

You could fashion a cover for you cover, such as a 'rock' made from hypertufa (sp?). If you added handles near the open base, lifting and removal for access to your septic would be easy. Since tree roots are a no-no near typical septics, plant some wildflowers. They are very forgiving. Add a small table, maybe a chair or two, and you have a lovely corner of your yard instead of an eyesore.

I used round metal Christmas tree covers. They look like barrel and easy to lift off. Put potted plant on top. Comes our looking like a nice planter. Found this at Micheal's in there after Christmas sale.
