Scrapbook Storage Box Turned Wall Art

Michaels is one big store of inspiration so when I heard of the challenge I knew I could cruise through the aisles to find a project to do. This entire project hinged around a little stamp that was so pretty I thought it should be showcased as wall art. After spying this in the store, I decided to make it pop by adding yellow ombre paper behind it, framing it with cut wood, and adhering to all to the lid of a 12"x12" paper storage box. Now I can change the depth of the wall art by putting the wall art on the bottom side of the box and hanging it that way or can just use this to spruce up the storage box and set it on the coffee table as art.
Super cute right?!
Ok, so you'll need a 12x12 scrapbook paper storage box, paint&brush, woodcut frame, stamp of choice, super glue, scrapbook paper, pencil, and scissors. First, I painted the frame and cut the paper to fit the frame. Then glued it into the frame. Next, I wanted to find the center point of the wooden cut frame...
I cut a little hole around that centerpoint. This is where the stamp was superglued through the paper to the box. So now I needed the centerpoint of the lid of the box... Some more crisscross applesauce using some scrap ribbon so I could figure out where to mark the center of the lid...
Now... I superglued the stamp and woodcut frame with attached paper to the lid box by lining up the opening of the paper with the centerpoint of the lid and then adjusting it all so the woodcut frame didn't look crooked... TaaaaDahhhhh!
Last thing... I decided I like this better with more depth so I placed the lid on the underside of the storage box so it sticked out further from this wall. It could be hung this way or just lid only depending on preference.
