I want to paint over the crackle on my bedroom walls, what type of paint would you recommend to be able to cover the crackle without it crackling? It's been there for 10 years.

if the crackle paint is oil based then you will need an oil based primer, then you can paint latex over that. If the crackle is textured then you will need to even the surface of the wall first. Good luck!

I would sand the walls so the crackle is more smooth to the surface wipe it all down good and then I would prime with a good quality primer and then paint

Used flat with primer (1 coat coverage) and it was perfect. Thank you so much

Can I ask you if the wall was textured before you painted. I need to do the same but hoping not to sand.
