Our Fireplace: From Ugly to Awesome!

When we bought this house 12 years ago we knew that the fireplace was going to have to be repaired. We just took 12 years to do it!
Original fireplace
We added a gas burner to look like real logs.
The mortar was so crumbly that it was a complete hazard.
These are fake logs.
We ordered the fireplace glass door from Lowe's and my husband installed it.
My husband built the wooden fireplace to hide the ugly brick and we hired a painter to cover the top part.
We are so happy with the results.

Downright beautiful! Love the texture you chose to cover the wall and the wood part is just right. The doors are goooooregous! What a dramatic difference! Totally worth the 12 year wait. haha!
