Looking for an easy way to spruce up your front porch? This DIY - Wooden door mat is and easy project to bring beauty to your front steps and you can create it in no time!

Yes, it only takes a weekend and even less to create this doormat.

I like how my home looks this Spring, starting at the porch! :)

The before: A bunch of 1 x 3 wooden planks.

Holes were drilled on both ends.

The leaves design was painted.

Finally, a cord was passed through both sets of holes.

The final work: beauty! On the reverse side the planks were stained.

This is lovely. I'm thinking of doing one cedar & making it a bit longer for a movable walkway in my garden.

be sure to spray insecticide every now and then cause the termite will get at it l' vhad a wooden trunk for plants brought it inside the house and termites were eating my internal doors!!!
