Bookcase Headboard to Hall Table

Andrea Gray
by Andrea Gray
We have a narrow hallway we wanted to be able to throw our keys and other items to keep tidy. Then we found this curbside treasure and the wheels started turning.
This is the before picture after nabbed from the curb.
We used a charcoal chalky finish paint. Applied a wallpaper remnant from another project to the back wall of the headboard. We couldn't decide to whether to paint the sliding doors or not, but in the end we decided to keep the colors consistent and went with paint.
We then applied a durable top coat from General Finishes.
This is the finished product and we couldn't be happier.

Love your ingenuity! This one is for the books. I've got a narrow entryway and never could find anything that would fit. I would add a shoe "tray" at the bottom, which I really really need. You got me thinking!
