Need someone to build this!

Question

The previous owners made a stupid box looking fireplace. I want to upgrade! Please see the pics and let me know if this is work you can do. I'm getting quotes together and would like it done ASAP if possible. I live in McDonough, Ga.

@Kylie check this site for the built in book cases. There have been some stiking transformation of fireplaces using prefab book cases and building them in, less expensive that way. Love the inspiration. And I have a friend that's done that kind of work herself! (She still amazes me...). I think it can be accomplished quite easily...with the right contractor, of course!

You're right...the before does absolutely nothing for the room, but your AFTER is wonderful. I agree with others that you could do it less expensively by purchasing pre-built pieces for the shelving, but finding it just the right size is sometimes difficult. Good luck with finding somebody to do this for you...and be sure to post after pics!
