Sunroom?

Does anyone know how it would cost to get a sunroom put in from a company?I was wondering if the cost is cheaper than having it built.If so can anyone recommend a company in my area.All the websites i visit do not list the prices.I just want to get price range to see if i will be able to afford one.I would think pre-fabricated would be cheaper but i was wondering how much cheaper?

I'm guessing they don't list prices because there are so many factors and variables. Have you tried contacting any of the companies for an estimate for your situation.

I mailed for catalogs before but they never include prices you are probably correct.

We live in Florida, and have gotten 2 price quotes for a screened in front porch, the 2 quotes were $5000 & $10,000.

do yoiu have a Lowes..give them the size of the room and they can do an estimate on material for you

Whatever the "reasonable" price is worth it!!! We eat, sometimes nap and enjoy our sunroom all summer -- and it doesn't hurt since Lake St. Clair is right outside the window!! (Screens in summer and glass in the winter).

Marvin R...Hurricane Isabele totally distroyed our all glass Patio Enclosure. After several estimates from several contractors to replace it was going to be $45K to $50K. Patio Enclosure company would replace glass structure adding ceiling fans to the room (original was not wired for electricity) Then we had Flora Construction (local contractor) come in and his reconstruction plan was approx. the same cost. However we got a real sunroom, big view windows, elec outlets, 2 ceiling fans a new roof, reconstructed floor with indoor/outdoor carpet. The outside constructed of cedar shake and outside lights. If you have help and know your way around tools, you can build your own. Thats what we did on our summer vacation last year. We made a few little mistakes and had to do some improvising, but I have a beautiful space. Just don't do it in the heat of August like we did!

The house we have came with a "sunroom." It was from this place. www.sunporch.com and you can put it together yourself. The price depends on how big you want to go. We love ours so much it was one of the reasons we bought the house.

We had a high end Temo Sunroom put in over an open upstairs pre existing Deck off the Master BR. in Florida in 2004/2005. It had a lifetime Warranty even on the Glass and Screens for $29,000 and was approximately 12 X 24. The Temo sunroom came with Dbl. Insulated, UV resistant Glass which was tinted and also very strong foam filled aluminum panels. The sunroom was rated to stand Hurricane Winds up to 150 mph as we live between the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean.

Researched the "Four Seasons Sunroom" when we lived in Florida...never had it installed as we soon after moved to Chapel Hill, NC...but was impressed with the company.
