Come follow me as I make my journey "home."
The year was 1968 and my parents purchased their first home. A 1940 brick and stone Tudor. It was a major purchase and a dream come true for two 26 year olds with twins. This would be the house that would become their home and stay that way until they sold it in 1986. It would be the house I grew up in. The house I chased, played and fought with my two brothers. The house that I would be picked up at for my first date. The house I would have many sleep overs with friends, sharing secrets and making plans.
Three kiddo's that kept their momma busy!
This house is memory lane. I can remember something about my life in every room, nook and cranny. I can also envision the changes and work that will make it beautiful and support another 75 years of memories.
The front of the house today. All spruced up and ready for another 75+ years. This house was taken back to the studs. The electrical, plumbing, HVAC, insulation have all been removed and redone to today's standards. The floor plan has been reworked to allow for today's expectations in a home.
Home Sweet Home!
Look at that beautiful stone wall. We had it rebuilt and restored. There is a spring fed creek that runs in front of the home.

A modern bathroom with vintage details. This bathroom was fully gutted and the floor was rebuilt and all new tile and fixtures were installed. The vintage linen cabinet was kept and rebuilt to working order.

A galley kitchen that wows and functions like a much larger kitchen. Tons of counter space and storage have been designed into this space.

This kitchen has all the bells and whistles and I love the classic black and white color combo.
