How Can I Liven up These Boring Nightstands?

I love changing the look of antique furniture! And this is what I did with these nightstands
They are nice, but too boring for a modern bedroom! Colour can turn them into something very different!
Mexican embroidery is very fashionable these days. I wondered what they would look like if I painted a mexican pattern instead of embroidering?
I printed a suitable pattern from the web.
Transferred to doors, already painted white.
and started painting...
The result is just what I wanted! Pretty for a modern and cheerful room!

I searched Pinterest for Mexican embroidery patterns and chose this one that seemed very suitable, but there are hundreds!

Very clever indeed. I wonder if you could use, instead, high quality wall paper, or contact paper?

Of course you could Gabrielle. Hand painting is always more interesting though...

Love all your projects but this one touched my heart! About 40 years ago my mom hand painted a chair and cabinets in a way so close to the pattern and colors you used here and I always wonder where she had got the inspiration from. Now I know ♥♥♥ Mil gracias ♥
