TV Cabinet to China Cabinet

Pat Williams
by Pat Williams
I love to save old furniture! So when my brother was getting rid of his old TV cabinet, I knew that I could make it into something useful. I love this new china cabinet in my dining room!
The doors of the cabinet slide back inside.
I needed to build a free standing shelving unit.
Since the shelves are quite wide, I used my new Kreg tool to attach two boards.
Some chalk paint and stencils finish the look.
The drawer is lined with fabric.

Where did you buy your stencils ...I've been looking for some to adhere to a floor rug I'm painting for the patio

I really love this idea, and I did something very similar in my kitchen to hide my microwave and toaster oven and also to store extra bakeware and things that wouldnā€™t fit anywhere else. I got the cabinet for $100, painted it with chalk paint and bought the little details from amazon and painted those and glued them on. It has a ton of storage....glad to see others doing a similar thing...
