Paint Colors?

I would like to paint my very dark ( no light) bedroom but I'm having a hard time picking a color. The colors I have in my house now are SW Believable Buff, SW Antique White, SW Sea Salt in bathroom and I used Glidden Crisp Linen White for the trim. I have a dark cherry (aged, not stained) Henkel Harris poster bed.
We are selling our home soon so I would like to use a neutral color. Any ideas?

Some shear blinds may allow more room light...picking something that would compliment your bedding is always a good place to start when working in a bedroom.

I would either pull a color out of your bedding or maybe a painting or something in the room. You can always take a pillowcase or a painting to the SW store and they can color match. Another option that might be even better is to talk to a home stager or color consultant (some skilled people do both). They are almost guaranteed to decrease your sale time, and they can give you lots of tips for staging and getting ready to sell.
  • You have great taste in furniture! You may want to take the color of the adjoining bathroom walls (is that the seasalt)...I don't have a color wheel on me this morning but either try coming up the chart a couple of colors or have them cut seasalt formula with some white to lighten it up.
  • You are definately on the right track with keeping your paint colors neutral especially when preparing and staging your home for sale. We recommend these paint colors for staging a home: Benjamin Moore Antique White, Wickham Grey, Rice Paddy or Sherwan Williams Ground Ginger to name a few. Those are great colors! I was looking at a Glidden Natural Linen. It seems to be a good neutral color. Thanks for the tips!
