Need help with chandelier parts.

I bought a hanging light at auction, unfortunately there are pieces missing. When I went to research the piece I was able to figure out that the light has never been in production and was a prototype probably shown here at the "world market" (a wholesale trade show place). The light itself is fine but I will need to buy a canopy, and connecting tubes to hang it. Being that this is a prototype I guess I am free to use whatever pieces I want. Does anyone have a good lighting parts store (online) that they have good luck with?

Steve I have had better luck going to a local supplier for "weird" parts seeing them in person helps my brain get around the application or assembly details..sometimes the online pics can be variable for scale. Home centers and lighting places would be where I would start...if you see something in the store you may be able to order "parts from it" to complete your project.

Try a local lighting store who repairs lamps. They will be far more adaptive to your needs than a big box or a local Ace. I also use the following on line store...www.mylampparts.com

Unfortunately, in this disposable world we now find ourselves in, I have had very little luck ordering replacement parts. I have a different chandelier that I needed a couple parts for, and was told to "just buy another chandelier" I told them all I needed was a couple crystals and some chandelier shades, and didn't think it was fair to have to buy $1500 light. (I must admit I got it at habitat for humanity and paid considerable less)

You could always mix and match...a few blue glass crystals...mixed and scattered about in the entire "structure" would be a unique and pleasing look.
