What can I make with these containers?

Question

I have a bunch of these tin containers.  They measure 4' long and 3' wide and 1 1/2' tall.  I am looking for ideas for things to make with them.

They would make a good seed starting container,just make sure you put drainage holes in them.

I would use them for concrete molds to make small pavers. Or drill a hole through the middle, stack them and make a lamp base.

Use for small painting jobs. They'd be good for snack containers too or for s'more ingredients around the fire pit.

These pans would make a nice base for a small artificial flower arrangement.You can spray paint the pan , add some stone for weight, cover with a little plaster of paris, cut a piece of the planter foam or styrofaom, glue that in place , and add some small artificial flowers or plants.

I don't know how useful this would be in your household, but they would be excellent, single serve containers for frozen foods.  I often make up a batch of, say, meatloaf, freeze it in single  serve sizes and if you need two, use two.  They are small, cook faster and no leftovers.  Same for stews and casseroles, if you make too much, freeze in single use containers.  Makes great lunches for work.  Only problem is these can't go in the micro.

You could create a fountain for your garden, with wire, maybe rebar , punch holes along the edges and use the wire to attach glass beads .Birdbaths, you could glue them onto pylons, or wood stumps at different heights and place them through the garden for birdseed or Birdbaths. Could bash them into interesting shapes, using beads and found objects making wind chimes. Use them as molds for making stepping stones, or border edging for flower beds ( as molds or the tins themselves) they're too shallow to plant with flowers, but you can create grass patches for cats , catnip will grow in shallow containers. You can plant them with oriental grasses of different colours and textures and arrange them in a mosaic or on place them on outdoor stairs. Jelly molds, cake pans, use them to make soap, mixing containers for painting different techniques or artwork. Create a sculpture of a robot, hinge two together and create a decorative box with a clasp and using screwdrivers, etc hammer designs into them. The possibilities are endless. Enjoy.

My husband and I just started using this kind of stuff from around our house! Get some Rapid set concrete, use cooking oil or Pam, and go to town. we created stepping stones, fairy garden ball pillars and a gloved hand planter . good luck

Spray paint them, accordingly, drill a hole into one side & attach them to peg boards, by a hook or screw. Let them hold nuts n bolts in the handyman shed or beads n buttons in the craft room, or add feet to them to fancy them up for the ladies room to hold earrings, guest soap, or trinkets. Drill a small hole in the bottom for drainage, & 4 sm. holes in ea. corner for twine, ribbon, or tiny chains & a hook at the top where they meet, add bird seed, hang from tree or deck, = feeder

drill holes in the rims and hang them with cord or fine chain for tiered storage, or even drip catchers for hanging plants/herbs, maybe in a kitchen window..

Use them for miniature succulent gardens. Plant real ones or fake. The plants would look great next to that metal. Add rocks, a bit of driftwood, maybe some colored glass.

Small loaves of banana bread or meat loaf can be made in those. I'm not too sure how sturdy they are, but a holder for screws can be made. Slip the top lip into a groove (or small wooden shelf support). Make a rack to hold many above and beside each other. Put these into your rack and store things. I like having a place for different sized nuts, bolts, screws, etc. in my shop.
