From Blah to Hollywood Glam Night Tables

3 Materials
I had these two basic, kind of "blah" night tables. I knew they could be given some personality by letting them shine with metallic paints!
Even if your personal style is not very big on "bling", in some cases small accent metallic pieces bring life to a room, especially in rooms with lots of white. I love white rooms, but the key to make an all white room look right is to add lots of texture and a bit of sparkle.
Like these two night tables. They don't scream over-the-top flashy, but add just a little sparkle. They would look great side-by-side in a bedroom with a white or light grey upholstered headboard, or even in a dark painted room like I styled them here.
I achieved this look by painting the tables with pure white paint, then a few coats of a metallic cream paint and some antiquing wax.
