Looks like it could be a buddleia or more commonly known as a butterfly bush.

It really does look like forsythia, I have both forsythia and butterfly bush and it does not look like my butterfly bush at all. Let it grow and be suprised next spring!

Not Butterfly Bush. I'm going with Forsythia. What ever it is it needs some fertilizer, it looks hungry! :)

Yup, I would say Forsythia for sure. Jagged edges and woody stick stems.
