Lou on May 26, 2013How about art and photography? I must spend most of my time inside so I too looked for fun projects. One of my pastimes is taking photo's of light coming throught windows, books and other areas of our home. I then transfer the images to my PC where I use various free and easy to learn photo software applications to enhance the images. After gaining experience I began using some of the images, namely photos of light, to create abstract art. Over time I became quite good and joined on-line photography forums. The cost is low and the return is high! My best to you.Helpful Reply

Catherine Smith on May 27, 2013Well, think about what real interests you, you can surf the web for that subject and related areas. I'll bet you can find something that will suit you perfectly. :)Helpful Reply

Terri J on May 27, 2013I vote for the above, but would like to know what your interest are, so that I can try to brainstorm with you. - You could also do little container plants, if your heart desires, and depending on your level of mobility. If you would like to, follow me back, and we can brain storm together - I am somewhat in the same boat as you.Helpful Reply

Sierra Coe on May 28, 2013I recently broke my tibia & fibula in my leg, requiring me to have surgery (rod & 5 screws), being unable to walk for the last 3 months has forced me to stick to crafts that I can do from my living room (I'm unable to get to my craft room downstairs without major assistance- just not worth it). I've been passing my time needle felting, doing mosaics, painting small mixed media canvases, playing with polymer clay, wire wrapping & beading. There are a lot of crafts you can do sitting, it really just depends on what you enjoy. I get bored easily so I like to switch crafts/mediums after each project to keep things fresh.Helpful Reply

Vickie Burroughs on May 28, 2013I broke both my ankles at the same time. Had surgery on the one that was broken in 4 pieces and dislocated, I have pins and rods in it. Came home with casts on up to both knees and in a hospital bed for several month. My dear hubby went and bought me beading craft kits to make Christmas ornaments. Thank goodness for him, he helped me through the whole horrible ordeal. But the crafts kept me sane. Good luck.Helpful Reply

Angel Roberts on Oct 14, 2013Making jewelry is a great indoor craft. Plus it does not cost too much. I get a lot of my supplies from Walmart. Plus I sold some of the things I made.Helpful Reply

Carol Tanner on Jun 10, 2015Are you talking about craft projects or home decorating projects? I have limited mobility due to being kicked by a horse a number of years ago; she broke my entire right leg, so I am metal from the bottom of the hip down (rod, pins, plates, and screws), so I focus on things I can do sitting down. I plan out home décor projects and order the supplies online, and then have one or two of my sons help me implement my ideas. I used to do them myself, but after two serious falls last year, they have banned me from ladders. What they can't do because of busy schedules or their skillsets, I hire out. There are lots of good ideas here and on Pinterest, and most home stores will cut materials to length for you. I was able to re-do my pantry just by measuring the lengths for shelves and then going to Lowe's to buy them. I installed them myself, and ordered new containers to hold the food items. Luckily, I am still able to drive.Helpful Reply

Trixie63 on Jul 21, 2015What do you like to do? If you like gardening but can't be outside try an herb garden in your sunniest window. If you enjoy nature create and hang several bird houses outside your favorite window and then some binoculars and enjoy the show!Helpful Reply
