Does anyone happen to know what kind of flower this is? It grew from a bulb in my new yard :)

some type of spiral bulb, almost looks like those pretty onion type flowers that spiral out, usually purple. omccoy

I think it is one of the pincushion flowers of which I believe there are several types/colors.
