Covid Forced Project Continued and Finished

This post just a follow up on our office place. The built in finished completely (finally handles came in) Beautiful so it did worth the wait (black walnut and gold). As I mentioned in my earlier post we had a nook which probably meant for a built in but it was too small to execute it. So after much consideration I just wanted a built in bench with additional storage and pillows. Easy enough and not to blow the budget( purchased wood before the lumber price increase) Kept the same paint color as the built in same top as the desk (white oak) and after getting prices on a custom made bench cushion decided to make it by myself.Anyway,here are some pictures.P.S I wanted shiplap to the beck of the wall but it wasn't in the budget and might do it down the road or not:)

Tightly cover the piece and tie it closed. Another Piece Saved

I purchased this piece from my local Facebook marketplace. While it was painted all purple, had no legs and had huge crystal knobs, I recognized exactly what piece of furniture it is as I have flipped many pieces in the last couple of years. I actually worked on the same dresser before. That was painted all black and when I sanded it down it had amazing mahagony veneer underneath, so I was hoping for similar results.

Swinging Bed for Your Porch.

This is my second swinging bed in this location. My first swinging bed/floating bed I made years ago with used, leftover deck lumber. You can see it . It was everyones favorite place to nap and the most popular place to be at family gatherings. On Thanksgiving the swinging bed had a full book. I had to take it down when our roof was replaced, so it got trashed. Then it was replaced by a used ping pong table.
