DIY (Faux) Mercury Glass in Any Color

This is my favoooooooorite project and I guess people agree because it has been my most popular post. The second I saw DIY (Faux) mercury glass. I had one question how can I do it in blue. I needed it to be waterproof because if I have a pretty vase I want to bu water in it. Then i figured it out how to do it using a hard to find glass paint called Pebeo Vitrea 160.
The outcome was gorgeous but Looking Glass paint, the other paint need in the project, is hard to find as well as well. So guess what I made a kit, with everything you need to do this project that you can buy in one click. Yeah one click shopping! Check out the tutorial, check out the kit!
Time: 1 Days Cost: $32 Difficulty: Easy

Well Elaine Simmons you are lucky from my experience both paints can be hard to find. I guess it depends where you are. I checked all the craft stores in my area for both the Looking Glass paint and Pebeo Vitrea 160 AC Moore, Joann's and Michaels, no luck. I did find Pebeo Vitra 160 at my local pearl paint but they didn't have the color that I wanted. I ended up ordering it from Amazon. I only found looking glass paint at one particular Walmart and I have now bought out their whole stock.

love this, will do this when back home. Getting so many projects, might have to keep my pallet and saw horses as work bench rather than planting flowers or get hubby to score me another one. See some nice simple xmas or housewarming gifts.
