For an easy, inexpensive way to make beautiful wall art....don't overlook finger painting. It's not just for kids! It's so simple but is a great way to get art in the exact colors and look you want. Make, Frame, Hang.
Start by tracing your design on paper or card stock. I decided to paint hydrangeas but you could do anything with this.
Put some paint onto a plastic plate and start dabbing along along (and inside) your traced lines. I wanted pink to be the main color of my flower.
Add in accent colors.
Keep dabbing. I also added in gray, lime green, white, and pale pink. The key is to do lots of layers.
You can add stems and petals using your fingers or a small paintbrush. I also cut out a vase using card stock to make a bouquet.
Let dry and frame.
Hang and enjoy.
