Chic Barbie Storage

We recently redid our daughter's room. I will post the finished pics once her desk is done but I could not wait to post this one project. I needed to create storage and around here we do it for as cheap as we possibly can. FREE if we can pull it off, lol. I took a banged up, rusted old filing cabinet that I got at a thrift store for $5 and created a place for all the naked Barbies to live so I would not have to walk thru a sea of bodies in our 8 year old daughter's room.

I took the drawers out of the filing cabinet (to be used in my potted garden at a later date) then spray painted the inside a reddish, pink color.
Then my wonderful husband cut OSB board to make the shelves which I covered in purple sheets from the thrift store.
We did not screw them in but the were cut so they wedged in there. They are not coming out!
Here is the cool part. I had bought a bunch of random fabrics on clearance to use in her room. I loved the paisley and was not sure how I could work it in, the BLAM, cover the cabinet.
I used spray E600 adhesive on a section at a time then smoothed out the fabric. Once that was dry I went over the whole thing with Mod Podge. To make the finished edges I used double sided tape because this chic does not sew!
I even did the top. The entire cabinet (both sides, back and top) is covered in this silky paisley fabric.
I still have to cover the blue basket and the Girl Scout cookie box but for the most part, it is perfect!!!
