Pallet Trays

We created some pallet trays for our deck. We stained them in two different shades and they were a great way to use a leftover pallet from a stone delivery. We used an unexpected item to create handles for the trays too.
Here are the two trays one in pecan stain and the other in sun bleached stain.

What did you use for the handles? I have been making trays after doing some beautiful puzzles and have tried several handles but just not what I'm looking for.

I would like to know too but can't find how to get to her blog. The last pallet box (13 x 17 x 7"h) I did, I used a 1" wide leather belt punched hole about 1/2" from each end and secured it with small carriage bolts I spray painted with gold craft paint. For my trays I used the silver dollar store handles which I spray painted with oil rubbed bronze, then did a wipe with watered down metallic craft paint, turned out great, get lots of compliments.

I used those cheap metal gate handles from Home Depot! The ones that you find in the hardware dept. they were .98 cents each... Just cheap metal decorative handles! They can be put on with the screws they come with as they are small or you can nail them too
