We are wanting to put a privacy fence on our property... it has a down hill slope and I want to stager the fencing in 8foot sections , like the one in this current fence issue.. how do I do the spacing to drop down each fence unit?

Most fences I have seen on slopes ( and we have our share here in the rockies) are set with posts about 6 feet apart. the horizontal rails are then set following the contour of the slope. These are typically three tiered. The fence pickets then follow the contour as well. You could set the fence up with a "stair like" pattern with the rails set level rather than following the contour. but 8 feet between posts seems a bit wide to me. What is the overall slope of the hill?...If this is a low slope this might look OK.
