2016 Spring Mantel

Spring has arrived here in New Hampshire; at least on my mantel! Cold temperatures won't deter me from welcoming this season.
As per my usual decorating strategy, I combined a couple of new items with some older, well loved pieces to come up with my Spring Mantel.
And following my mantra of 'less is more', I placed the pieces sparingly along the ledge. Our mantel is extra long, so I have learned that proportion plays a big role in the overall look.
Pops of yellow and green are combined with natural elements to welcome all who enter.
I love the texture of the basket weave combined with the fresh cut flowers.
