Upcycling Coffee Cans Into Organization Containers

I rescued a couple of empty coffee cans from the recycling bin, cleaned them up, then painted and papered them. Now I have beautiful organization containers for almost no money!

Remove the labels and clean them thoroughly to ready them to spray painting.

Spray paint the coffee cans teal. Use thin coats to get into all those ripples.

Grab some paper scraps to fancy these coffee cans up a bit!

Tape the scrap paper around the coffee cans. This hides the ripples a little bit and gives it a higher end container look. Now, store all your items inside for pretty storage!

who's still using metal cans? all the ones I see are metal ring top and bottom but cardboard "body". I would soooo love to have all metal cans again! plus the cardboard isnt "tight" or sealed to put stuff in that shouldnt get air. Fantastic idea though...we go thru some coffee!!!

My husband buys Chase and Sanborn coffee from Menards and it comes in metal cans. It's an off brand but it's good.

Kirkland Coffee from Costco. Not only is the coffee in metal cans, the coffee is delicious! That's all I buy and it is so cheap!

Yes! This is a heavy duty gift wrap. I believe I got it at World Market.

I use the fancy patterned duck tape....done in a jiffy and no dry time. I do let it set over night to let tape adhere good but you wouldn't have too.

Yes! I also use coffee cans to hold my metal lids (rinsed and instead of throwing in garbage). Then I throw can in the recycle bin when full.
