Looking for help with redecorating

I have a beautiful burgundy carpet with my rose velvet Victorian sofa and layered fabrics for chairs that are shabby chic colored in yellow, rose green stripped and flower materials.
The walls are beige/pink. I want to change the colors, but I need to keep the carpet. Any suggestions for a change would be welcomed.

A very pale silver gray I think would be your answer. My suggestion is to go the paint store and pick out color swatches and see what you think will blend in your room. Once you narrow a decision down I totally recommend buying color samples and test in the room as all colors regardless of opinions will look entirely different in ones own home. You will also need to take in consideration of the lighting in the room as well.

A soft butter yellow would keep the room warm but pull out the colours in your chairs & provide a lovely contrast to the burgundy carpet

I love it! Glad you're a fan of yellow too!

I don't personally think butter yellow will work in this case.No offense however she already has beige and that could honestly make the room look drab.

Your room sounds beautiful with the different fabrics, patterns and colors. A very soft yellow would be a nice tie in. The warm colors you have already...shades of burgundy/reds, greens, florals etc...would coordinate nicely with a shade of pale yellow. I wouldn't add a color that isn't already in the room.

so are you wanting new paint? new fabrics on the furniture?..have you considered painting multi colors on the walls? a fake wainscotting? burgundy+gold, as is burgundy with grey- is a classic combo. a gold tone or grey that plays well with the carpet, the gold is a warm color, the grey is a cooler color... ..always audition you paint colors on a foam board and move it around the room. paint can look different depending on the lighting.
