Mossy Mason Jar Terrarium

Easy to make moss and succulent terrarium. I made this with my kids and they really loved doing it. Perfect for Earth day or any day.
Gather your materials:

Moss ( can probably be found in your own backyard)

Succulent (optional)

Figurine (optional)

Mason jar

Sheet moss or activated charcoal

Small rocks

Top soil

Bigger rocks
Start Placing the small rocks in the bottom of the jar.
Then layer your charcoal or sheet moss on top. This is done to keep everything fresh and help keep away mold.
You can add soil on top. I put some larger rocks in before I put the soil on top. It just seemed a little more visually pleasing. After adding the soil I added a few more bigger rocks then the moss and succulent or figurine. My little helper, she always does such a good job
Ta-da! They turned out really cute. Maybe add a little spray paint to the lid to really make it your own.
