Any ideas?

I have the old one gallon glass jugs, there are probably 100 of them in my basement. I would like to do something with them either in my yard or decorate somehow with them inside but I can't think of anything to do with them They have a small opening at the top. Does anyone have any ideas?

I have seen them made into lamps, candle holders with one candle placed directly in the opening or with a multiple candle holder placed in the opening, and painted jugs. With the small opening, using them as planters would require you to cut the top off.

You can use them as terrariums. Thay're very easy to make and can be kept indoors or out. You could also sell some on Ebay... They seem to be very popular right now.

A friend of mine uses them to make squirrel feeders. He turns them on their side and makes a wooden holder to hold them so they can't fall off, and mounts them on a piece of 4x4. The squirrels can climb the wood and if it's raining they stay dry while dining :)
